Ice Cream Shops That Cater!

When it comes to wedding priorities - dessert REALLY should be at the top!! ;)

Only sort of kidding here! As a self proclaimed sugar addict, I’ve never met a dessert spread I didn’t like, but most people will tell you there’s a clear difference between a true quality cake and just a decent one! The same can be said for ice cream! Denver has no shortage of cute and OH SO SWEET shops, but where the heck do you start?! Who has the best flavors? The best options (as far as creativity is concerned)? The best catering? We took to the streets to find out!

With the wonderful Alex Medvick in tow, we explored 3 Denver shops and 1 down in Colorado Springs! All 4 knocked it out of the park, but here are some of the highlights!

Sweet Cow:

We absolutely adored the atmosphere at Sweet Cow! Their shop had the cutest little cows brightening up the space, and they had additional merch that just about anybody would love from hats to tees to stickers! What did we get to try at this stop?

Root beer floats

Vegan flavors to die for

Double scoop

The world’s fattest ice cream sandwich (cookies & cream babyyyy)

AND we got to check out the Moo Mobile! Perfect for any occasion!

Milkbox:

One of the highlights of this location is exactly that - the location! Nestled within the gorgeous Union Station, Milkbox is a step into the 50s! The retro vibes were so bright and happy, and they had some lollipops and other retro accents that brought the shop to LIFE! The goodies we indulged in:

Ice cream flight - the pumpkin pie cheesecake was amazing!

Apple pie a la mode (SO gooey)

Boozey shakes (for your upcoming company party)

Ice cream cones!

Plus - they have a mobile cart that can bring ice cream (& a cute pop of decor) to anywhere in CO!

Nuggs:

The very first thing you’ll notice about Nuggs is that the color within their shop extends to the exterior! The murals surrounding this Colfax location were everrrrrything, and the fun continued inside with pop culture portraits and a gorgeous graphic menu! These guys have an amazing truck of their own, and we got to taste some delicious:

Ice cream tacos (you read that right folks)

Ice cream cones the size of your head

Ice cream cookies the size of two heads

& ice cream cakes in the most fun flavors/designs!

Josh & John’s:

With multiple locations in Southern (& now Northern) CO, these guys serve just about everyone! Their seasonal flavors are out of this world (we highly recommend their White Christmas and Bourbon Peach flavors currently) and their mobile option is super fun in that it’s a renovated VW bus! Imagine the look on your guests’ faces when that baby pulls up! ;) We also got to try their home made cones and waffle bowls, which are almost too pretty to eat! <3

Thank you to all of the above vendors for treating us (no pun intended) to a fabulous Winter day! Below are a few more local shops to check out that we didn’t get to visit this time around but that offer amazing services! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Little Man

High Point Creamery

Em’s Ice Cream

Anne’s A La Mode

Gelato & Co (Gelato counts too)!!!
