While 99.9% of the time, the day of the wedding is the most magical, heartwarming, incredible set of moments with your family friends and spouse, it wasn’t until a week AFTER Jeanne & Chip’s Vail Micro-Wedding that the day really pulled on my heart strings! While the wedding day itself was absolutely stunning, just a week after, Colorado went into lockdown because of Covid-19. The entire world, but particularly the wedding and events community, was reminded just how important celebrations are, and Jeanne & Chip’s was incredibly special!
The two started the weekend by heading to Vail early for some ski/snowboarding time and some relaxation! They were joined by their children and their respective spouses and were met with some wonderful weather, particularly for March in CO! By the time I arrived, they were nearly finished with hair and makeup and ready to get the party started, but not before a few photos were snagged!
It’s not often that I’m able to officiate AND coordinate, but with more intimate weddings it can be a wonderful option! I was glad to be a part of the ceremony from a different standpoint and to be up in the emotions with the rest of the group! Every guest was included in the ceremony, because Jeanne & Chip had each of them sign as witnesses to their union. The live music provided by Give Love Originals was the perfect touch during these special moments. If you’re curious about the “J” details, they hold a very sentimental meaning to the couple! These two have proven that there are a million and one ways to incorporate the loves of your life who aren’t able to join in person.
After ceremony, the group promptly celebrated with a champagne toast! The outdoor fire pit meant guests stayed warm for the most part, but that didn’t stop them from making their way to dinner a few minutes early! The delicious multi-course dinner and desserts were absolutely worth the rush!
Jeanne & Chip’s celebration ended on a soft note, with family giving more hugs and congratulations before heading back to their rooms for the evening. Congratulations to Jeanne & Chip, thank you for including me in your beautiful celebration of life and love! Forever grateful that we could celebrate just before the world shut down to heal! <3
